To Boost or NOT to Boost?

I am not too sure how relevant this post will be in the time to come but as it stands there really is no wrong way to get your post and page attention whether you're boosting or advertising your content. Yet, here's the difference.

Boosting a post is quicker and more efficient way to pitch to your audience. Issue is, boosting a post may ONLY reach your audience and a fraction of their audience. If those who like and follow your page are mainly friends, family and network who support you and not customers, boost will not work as well for you. Advertising through Meta (Facebook / Instagram) will.

Advertising via the ads section in Meta will allow you to reach audiences outside your page to those in select demographics, geographic locations, buying criteria, etc. You can set spend limits, see thorough analytics and know who you are reaching out to and who is clicking your ads. Boosted posts have limitations, in all categories. Boosts exists to keep ads simple while relying on the audience your page already has.

So, should you boost a post or not? It depends on who your page audience is, if they're customers and if it is working for you. If not, venture into ads or hire a professional.

Lastly, Google Facebook ad help and you will find links from Facebook providing great tutorials on ad launching. Please remember, ads are not set-and-forget. Know your budget and if your return on investment supports it.
